Jesus is the Way, and he is the Beloved

The Way of the Beloved is a way of life and formation in Jesus.

Through discipleship, spiritual direction and retreats, we help people encounter the fullness of life in Jesus and support local churches in the mission of God.

Based at Greenwood, on the wild and beautiful west coast of Scotland, we offer ministry on-site, online and at host locations.

Spiritual Direction

Listening for God’s Voice in Your Life

God is always at work in our lives. Through spiritual direction, online or in person, we offer a place for you to reflect, listen, and discern His presence.

Training

If you feel drawn to explore the ministry of spiritual direction, we offer an internship programme.

Retreats

Come away and rest a while.

Make room to become still, seek the Lord, and deepen your life in him.

Based at Greenwood, on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, we offer solo and group retreats, and can also facilitate retreats in local churches.

Leading from Rest in Christ

Caring for Those Who Lead

We serve leaders in every sphere, whether in church, business, or the creative sectors, as they deepen their abiding in Christ.

Through spiritual direction, leadership development and retreats, we help you learn to lead from rest and notice where the Father is already at work among the people, organisations and communities you are called to serve.

Forming Disciples in Community

A place to grow

Discipleship is the active work of the Holy Spirit applying the Word of God to us with such power that it changes us from within.

At Greenwood, shared rhythms of prayer, theological learning, and work on the land help young adults grow in Christ.

Greenwood:

the place where a vision is coming to life

On these 70 acres of rugged beauty, The Way of the Beloved is helping to cultivate a church inspired by the Celtic abbeys of old.

Our life together here is simple, and it shapes everything we do:

Abide: We learn to behold Jesus and remain in him.

Love: We receive ourselves as beloved of God and learn to love others with the love we have received.

Send: We step into the good works the Father has prepared for us, bearing witness to the good news of Jesus wherever he sends us.

Hear what others are saying

The Way of the Beloved is part of the Anglican Diocese in Europe, with a vision to contend for the renewal of the Church in the power of the gospel. We welcome and serve Christians across all traditions and denominations.

Our life is rooted in Scripture, nourished by the sacraments, and dependent on the presence and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
